Lídia Winery

Our winery is located in the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region, in Zanka, on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. The estate was taken over from my grandparents and expanded by my father Zoltán Varga and his brother in 1996.

Our wines are fermented in steel tanks in a reductive cooling process. The harvest is hand-picked in crates to protect the bunches as much as possible.

Our family business farms 16 hectares. My cousin Csaba is responsible for the development and harvesting of the grapes, while the processing, winemaking, marketing and sales are the responsibility of András Varga.

Our wines are mainly of white varieties: italian Riesling, grey Riesling, irsa olive, rajnai Riesling, furmint, rosé, and the wine production and marketing.
Red varieties: kékfrankos, merlot, pinot noir, zweigelt.

We keep 12 to 14 bottle lots on a permanent basis. You will find both sparkling whites and reds as well as more full-bodied maturities.

Most of our wines are sold in local wine bistros, gastro pubs and restaurants.
