A zenekar az ezredforduló táján alakult a nép- és világzene, a jazz és a kortárs zene területén egyaránt otthonosan mozgó, Artisjus, eMeRTON, Lovagkereszt, Szabó Gábor és Liszt-díjas, a Vujicsics együttes tagjaként pedig Kossuth-díjat is elnyert Borbély Mihály vezetésével, hasonló szellemű és gondolkodású muzsikusok csatlakozásával. Improvizatív zenéjüket a jazz különböző irányzatainak, valamint a Kárpát-medence és a Balkán népzenei örökségének ötvözése jellemzi, érdekes dallamfordulatokkal, olykor finoman áttetsző, máskor erőteljes ritmusokkal, illetve kortárs zenei elemekkel. Hazai és európai koncertjeik mellett kétszer is nagy sikerrel szerepeltek Mexikóban. 2004-ben eMeRTon díjat kaptak „Az év jazz együttese”-ként.
