Izlandi egyetemi kórus (Háskólakórinn) koncertje

Az Izlandi egyetemi kórus (Háskólakórinn), amely egyetemi ünnepségeken szokott fellépni és sokféle koncertet ad az izlandi fővárosban meg vidéken is, 1972-ben alakult. Gyakran lép fel közös produkcióban az Izlandi ifjúsági zenekarral, amellyel olyan nagyszabású műveket adtak eddig már elő elsőként Izlandon, mint például Vaughan Willams Tengeri szimfoniája és Mendelssohn Dicsőítő éneke. Többször tett külföldi utazásokat és különböző nemzetközi versenyeken nyert díjakat. A magyarországi fellépésen klasszikus magyar kórusművek mellett (Kodály, Bárdos és Ligeti) kortárs izlandi egyházi és világi darabok zendülnek majd fel.

Gunnsteinn Ólafsson 2004 óta az Izlandi ifjúsági zenekar vezetője és 2007 óta az Izlandi egyetemi kórus karnagya.
